St. Margaret's Plotting Room #2This bunker or plotting room is the second of two on Seaview Road, St. Margaret's near Dover and is in a wooded area near the Lighthouse. Access is through a small hole into a surface room and then through a steel hatch and down a steel ladder. The interior is very similar to that of Plotting Room #1. The ventilation ducting is still intact and the filters are still in situ in the ventilation plant room. In fact the condition is almost unchanged from when I visited it back in 1977, except the steel doors are now missing. Getting them up and out through the entrance hatch must have been quite a job. For a plan of South Foreland battery see maps. The pictures below were taken in Jan.2001.
